Job Title: Entry Level Land Manager
A career in Land
Development provides an exciting and diverse opportunity at Centex Homes. From site
investigation to site development, you will work with, help direct and influence
people in a wide range of functions, including contractors, consultants, land brokers,
state and local government officials, as well as Centex Homes field personnel.
You'll be provided with training tools such as scheduling software, a land development
training manual, job shadowing and hands-on experience in planning, designing, permitting
and zoning. Your responsibilities and career opportunities will increase as you
master each aspect of the land development process: engineering, budgeting, entitlements,
contracting, land development and construction.
The Land Development department has several different opportunities that allow you
to see and work in a variety of positions. Many divisions have amenity builders
that manage the construction and development of clubhouses, pools, tennis courts
and much more. Entitlements also play an integral part of the development process
by obtaining the state and municipal approvals for developing a site.
Every day will present you with exciting challenges as you manage the development
process. From locating land, to negotiating purchases and conducting feasibility
analyses to securing municipality approvals and overseeing the site work, your land
development experience at Centex Homes will help you lay the foundation for career
growth.
No previous experience required. This is an entry level position.
