Job Title: Entry Level Superintendent - Field Manager I

At Centex's home building operations, the field manager position provides a foundation for career growth within the construction industry. There are five levels of field manager at Centex, ranging from an FM I trainee to an FM V area construction manager. As an FM I, you are introduced to every aspect of the home building business and, as your career develops, you learn and experience the effect that each department has on the home building process. Upon completing the four-to-six month FM 1 training period, an FM II assumes all aspects of construction management within a multi-million dollar community. Field manager levels II through IV share the daily responsibilities of leading, scheduling, inspecting, budgeting and supervising neighborhoods to ensure that all homes are safely built on time and within budget while meeting Centex's quality standards.

One of the most impressive facts about the development of the field manager position is that many Centex leaders started or spent a portion of their career as a Centex field manager.

This is an entry level position for college recruits interested in a construction management career at Centex Homes. No prior work history is expected.
